The colors look a little more technicolor than in the original. And I spent HOURS trying to tweak the colors. >.<

I would love to get another piece sketched and painted before the County Fair at the end of the month. We shall see....

So I finally finished my first 9x12 painting of 2010!! I'm very proud of this one for several reasons. I didn't use ink to do all the black that I used. Ink was only used for lineart!! I didn't use any white gouache. I used a bit of white watercolor instead!! I didn't use any metallic gouaches either!! This is watercolor in its purest form for me! LOL

She took forever to paint, but then again, I had to fit painting time in between daycare and family. We've been more active with the daycare this summer, so it's even harder to find time to paint! o.O

I hope you like her. I have another painting in the works. The background is finished, just need to do the main figure.... It's another 9x12. o.O That will double my 9x12 output from 2009. Sad, isn't it?

Being a new mom and an artist is harder than I thought it would be. When I first started painting, Camie was already almost 2. She also wasn't NEARLY as busy as Ari is at the age of 13 months. o.O That kid never stops!! But she's adorable, so I let it go. :P

A year ago at 10:58am. A sweet little girl who weighed 7lbs 15oz and was 21" long was born...and she hasn't stopped delighting us yet!

I'm amazed at all the changes and progress this child has made in one short year!!!

YAY!! I met my goal for January! 2 paintings done and I still have 7 days left in the month!! (I finished it yesterday...)

So here she is:

I had her inked in 2009, but all painting was done this year...so not as cheaty as "Jewel Tones". LOL

Oh...BTW...I was going to credit the stock model, but she's removed all her deviations from DA....so what do I do with that?

Okay, so I cheated and started this one in 2009, but it gets me halfway to my 2 paintings a month goal for January. :P I'm doing much better than last year when my first painting of 2009 was done late September. LOL

Eat a bit healthier. I can't cut out all fat and sweets, I'll binge. :P
Exercise for many, MANY reasons.
Keep up on paperwork more frequently
Keep a tidier house
Keep up better on my LJ
Stand up for myself more
Art a LOT more

Oh, and I forgot to mention...that I'm not sure if I'm doing any Christmas Card exchanges yet. That's why I've not signed up for any of them yet. If you have one, could you leave me a comment so that when I DO decide I can sign up with y'all?

Heck I don't even have an idea for MY cards yet... Sad.

I've cut a bunch of people from my friends' list. It's just too big. Sorry. I'm too busy with the daycare and my kids and struggling to find time to art (and facebook) that I just can't keep up with you all. I'm sorry.

I tried to stick to mostly people who haven't posted in their LJ for a year or more...so my active friends should not be cut.

If you think I've cut you in error, just leave me a comment here. Hey, I'm only human.

I will still keep all my art sketches and finished products public, so anyone can see them regardless of whether I cut them or not.

If you're still on my friends' list you should be able to see the next entry that I post today.

Again, I'm sorry. It's nothing personal...just something I had to do.
